EDIT: I have just heard from the Bamfords Register that this engine was supplied to Benfords of Warick on 24th of February 1946 ... First start up attempt after replacing suspect spark plug. First run after rebuild with new big end bearing new head gasket and straightened crankshaft.
Such a nice day just had to have some engines running.
